TORONTO MONTESSORI INSTITUTE (TMI)

 

 

 

Toronto Montessori Institute is one of North America’s leading centres for the training of Montessori teachers and ongoing research into childhood development.
Founded in 1971, the Institute has provided thousands of Montessori teachers for schools all over the world.

 

The Institute is located on the Richmond Hill campus of Toronto Montessori Schools, and works closely with TMS in a symbiotic relationship. At TMI, student teachers receive real time classroom experience by participating in classroom activities at TMS and other area Montessori schools, and TMS teachers receive the benefit of the Institute’s research in childhood development and education through regular workshops and Professional Development conferences.
